This project started during the pandemic, when a friend and I were learning English and became fascinated by idioms, their meanings and origins. Curious to see whether we could tell an entire story using only idioms, we came up with a short story about two people who bump into each other after a long time apart, catch up over drinks and end up spending the night together – all told entirely through idiomatic expressions.
I then brought our story to life as an illustrated comic, developing the characters, colour palette and overall illustration style. The illustrations help contextualise the idioms, adding a visual layer to the dialogue and making the expressions easier to understand and remember in a fun engaging way.

This project was a commission to celebrate the arrival of my client’s newborn nephew. I created a personalised illustration built around the idea of welcoming a new life into the world, featuring playful characters, from a little chick hatching out of its shell to a stork carrying a baby.
Using a soft blue and yellow colour palette to create a warm, cheerful feel, I created a framed print for Martin’s nursery and a personalised baby bodysuit as a baby shower gift.

Aerospace Bristol commissioned me to create an illustrated infographic exploring Concorde’s history and its journey to the museum in Bristol. I turned the information provided into a clear, engaging visual story, creating an infographic that complemented the museum’s brand identity. I also animated the artwork for social media, bringing the story to life through motion.

For this project, I created the cover illustration for a single by Antonio Muñoz, a musician blending experimental jazz with electronic music. The concept captures him immersed in the music, almost in a state of ecstasy, that makes him appear to be flying towards the sky. His expression and black wings represent the spontaneity and improvisational spirit of jazz, while the robotic hand represents the electronic and technological side of his sound.

My client, a PE teacher, was writing a book about sport and physical education. The book was structured around the letters of the alphabet, from A to Z. She approached me to create a series of illustrations, one for each letter of the alphabet to feature in its corresponding chapter, as well as the book cover.
I explored different concepts for each letter, drawing inspiration from the equipment, exercises and stretches commonly found in PE classes. The final illustrations bring together bold colours, playful shapes and sporting themes to create a cohesive visual style.

This illustration was created as a gift for my friend Tom, whose obsession with pineapples earned him the nickname “The Pineapple King”. I used the idea as an opportunity to experiment with a bold, pop-inspired style, playing with vibrant colours, graphic shapes and playful details to bring the character to life.

This personal illustration was created as a visual representation of myself, my interests and the things I love doing. I wanted to capture my own little world — the world inside “Lynn” — by filling the letters of my name with illustrations that reflect my personality, hobbies and creative passions.

I created this illustration for the company’s Christmas card, playing with the idea of Santa Claus as a window into a winter wonderland. Inside his beard, a snowy landscape unfolds, with little reindeer skiing through the snow. The illustration was also brought to life through animation for social media.
